(Paul’s note: Joanne spent the hour before the session resting-in-Rose or meditating, so she wasn’t present to greet guests initially [per Rose’s instructions. Joanne prefers to come out, and say a few “hellos,” then jump right into the session]. However, when I went to get her, she was sitting on the edge of the bed “in state,” and didn’t respond to me verbally or visually, so I knew something different was going on. JoRose walked out and immediately began speaking to the group before sitting down on the couch.)
(Rose arrives: 4:45 PM.)
ROSE: “Weany girl”[1] wants to show off this evening, and walk and talk (Group chuckles) as Rose, so we are showing off weany girl’s prowess with walking and talking. (Group cheers and laughter)
GAIL: Does it feel fun?
ROSE: (Chuckling) Weany girl thinks so…
GAIL: Oh cool!
ROSE: …and we do as well. You can think of Rose as a beautiful walker and talker, because your Roses have a geanius way of walking into your world in essence. So we’ll say more about that at a later time, so for now we’ll just say, “Welcome dear ones.” (Smiles) We are so glad to see you this evening. We want to express that you will get a good dose of Rose this evening. We gave you homework [referring to the previous group session].[2] We wanted to say that you also will get a good dose of your selves this evening as usual.
So, (Jo laughs) we’ll begin by saying that the session is number 230… 230? (Humorously) Weany boy is correct. The session is two hundred and thirty one and a half (laughter), as it will be a big one! So we’ll begin by saying that you are welcome to ask questions if you’d like, and we’ll respond as best as we can with the information you’d like to give to your beautiful selves this evening.
So do say more dear ones. We’ll want to get your best questions this evening.
GAIL: Mmhm.
ROSE: Do you have any for us this evening?
JOYCE: Oh, I can find one.
ROSE: (Chuckling with Joyce) Dear Joyce. Okay, we’ll say a bit about the assignment from the last session, and we’ll want to say a bit about your essence names that you gave yourselves.[3] So, dear Gail, we’ll call you Gail for tonight. You are William in your Elias’ book.[4] We want to say a bit about that if you can take a bit of time with your essence names.
We are Rose. When you think of Rose you can think of Elias, as well as Seth, as well as Elias’ best friends in essence. Your Rose is a big exchange to do, and that is why you’re getting a bit more from us than you would, in some respects, from Elias.
The thing to consider is that Rose is a wider essence, in many ways, but this doesn’t mean she’s better, or wanting only to bully your smaller essences, for they are all wondrous, and they all have the ability to exact the information you need at the time you need it. So for your purposes you can think of Rose as a wider Joanne.
In this respect, you are also essences. We want to stress this, because you won’t find many Speakers who want to speak to you as your essence selves. So you’ll get the best information this way, and you’ll find that we will want to speak in your way of addressing to your essence names. (To Gail) In this, you’re William. You are William to Rose, as well as to Elias.
(To all) You are wanting only to find your essence self, and this is why Elias and Rose, as well as your many essence exchanges, only speak to you as essence. To say more about this is to belabor the point, but the way your Rose will incorporate your essence names is important, because you are them, always. And you can also find Rose telling you things that your names in spirit have to say to you as well, for Rose will interest your essences in speaking to you in ways that you don’t know about yet.
You’re wanting to connect to your essences in ways you’re not yet, and you can do that with realizing your practices. And in this, your practices include speaking to your essence self, speaking to William [Gail], speaking to Mathew [Drew], speaking to Janaki [Paul], speaking to Ruther [Lynda]. (Humorously) We are joking, because Ruther is a good nun (Joanne chuckles) and we love her. So don’t expect us to only speak to those here, dear ones. Your Rose is reaching to others who are not realizing [physical] presence tonight.[5] So you’re wanting your essences to find you, so begin by speaking with them directly, and if you don’t have an essence name, we’ll provide you one.
Now, we’ll do that in a moment, but for now, we want also to stress the need for a fine essence name that is your way of spirit. Your way of spirit has a name, and in this, you’ll find that it will provide you a great many helpful moments when you are feeling as if you don’t have a purpose in life. Your essence name will tell you what you need to know. Your essence name is what your Rose will tell you, but in many ways, your essence name is the same as your way of spirit: One. And in this, you’ll find that the wonderful world of intentionality is why you’ll need to match them, in some respects.
So dear William, you have an essence name, you also have an intent name.
GAIL: Mmhm.
ROSE: We’ll allow you to say what that is.
GAIL: My intent name?
ROSE: Yes.
GAIL: …is Rainbow Connector.
ROSE: Rainbow Connector. So, your William is your essence name, and Rainbow Connector is what you, as personality, on your physical manifestation calls herself, Gail.[6] And she is the Rainbow Connector, but so is William, in many ways, because William has a broader view of your Rainbow Connectorness.
GAIL: Mmhm.
ROSE: So William is a very big supporter of Gail in this, and is wanting to express to you that you do a fine job in this, Gail.
So your Roses are referring to you also as Gail, because Gail has a certain tone, as well. When we refer to you as essence, you will in some ways find that Gail is also synonymous with essence. So we won’t bother to call you, in some ways, by your essence name when you’re regular, old, decent, wondrous name given to you by your parents, or has been chosen by you, in many ways, as essence chose your name, Gail.
So your Roses will sometimes refer to you as your regular, old, physical names, because you are essence. So we’re redefining your names, in some respects, to really get the message into your lives that you don’t need essence names, in some respects, to remind you that you are essence. You are that always, no matter what you call yourselves. So don’t worry, we’ll continue to provide essence names, but in many respects, this doesn’t matter, because you are your essence, always. And in this, you’ll have a great many names when you think about the many permutations of essence, and how essence finds ways to permeate your reality.
So you’re wanting to express to us your intent names is a good thing, and we’ll ask you to realize them tonight if you haven’t already. So we’ll ask you to provide your intent names, dear ones. Have you done your homework? (Gail chuckles)
DEBI: Well I wasn’t here for the last one, (Jo laughs) but I already did this years ago.
ROSE: You have a written note, indeed. (Group chuckles)
DEBI: She has an excuse (inaudible).
PAUL: “She makes joke.”
ROSE: That’s right, we’re joking. (Group chuckles)
We want you to share your intent name.
DEBI: Well, I think it’s still the same because of the way my life is, but my intent name is Lover of Challenges.
ROSE: Mmmm. You’re correct that you do love challenges, but this isn’t necessarily a good intent name. Do you know why?
DEBI: I can tell you what it feels like.
ROSE: Please do.
DEBI: It feels very uncomfortable. Having been told that my intent in this particular focus of life is to explore drama, combined with challenge, pretty much puts me in the screwed seat 24/7. Okay, not always, but it feels like it. Things have gotten a lot better, but to me it feels negative now, it just feels negative. Does that make sense?
ROSE: Indeed, it does dear one. We want you to be assured that you’re correct, that having that – essentially invalidating intent name – isn’t the best way to get yourself motivated about your ways of spirit, and your ways of spirit are the most important things in your life.
You’re wanting to change your intent name, so we will assist if you’d like, but we suggest you try on another fine name for yourself. So do take on another challenge now, and we’ll help you if you’d like to be helped, but we have faith that you’ll rise to your challenge, as you usually do, dear one. So do so. And we’ll suggest that it will be a doozy. (Group laughs) So do so. And we will help you, if you need it. So what would you care to do with your life, besides challenge yourself?
DEBI: Adventure, I’m in it for the adventure, if you want just one broad word. I want my life to be full of change and adventure. Sometimes, you know, how it’s easier for us to say what we don’t want, and it kind of peels it down to what I would like. I have to slough away all the “don’t likes.” But Rose I’m tired of the challenge, and quite frankly, drama is great because it intensifies what I’m doing and gets my attention, if I don’t get locked into the emotional stuff too much. I want to let go of that a little bit, and explore drama, but my intent, what do I want to do with the rest of my life, (sighs) I want to continue exploring me. I want to get closer to me, essence me, me, Me, the Me of ME! And I can feel there’s something in the way, and I don’t know what it is, but I think it’s me. (Chuckling)
ROSE: Always!
DEBI: It is, huh!
ROSE: Indeed, with you all. Your essence self is you. You are wanting to get the barriers away from your fears, and your barriers to fear is fear. Fear is a good way to say, “Theatrics.” When you are dramatic, in ways that don’t help you, you get in your way. Theatrics is what Rose calls unnecessary ways to get in your way, when you want to be in your way of spirit. So when you find theatrics, that’s your way of saying, “Enough of that!” That isn’t really helping you, beautiful one. You’re wanting to move away from that. Theatrics, in and of themselves, are a good way to show you what you don’t want.
To take another tack, the ways of theatrics, in many ways, are the ways of fear. Realize that fear has its place to move you into areas that you wouldn’t normally go. It will tell you to take on something when you’re really wanting to not do that, so trust that your theatrics are your way of saying, “Enough of that. Let’s get on with life!”
And life calls to you all to follow your specific purpose in life. You have it. You’re not exactly on your paths yet though. You are always on your paths, but in some respects, your paths are a bit finding of challenges that aren’t necessary. So when you distinguish between your path you want to follow, and the ways of spirit that are calling to you, wanting does sometimes follow the wrong path. The wrong path we mean, the path that you have followed that brings you unhappiness.
So when you follow your way of spirit you will be happier, you’ll be finding more desires and less wants. We suggest that wants are fine, and they’ll provide you a great many wonderful things, but when your wants get in the way of your desires, they won’t want to get more things happening, in some ways. So trust that finding your desires is why you’re here tonight – to find your desires.
And in your way of spirit is your intent, and this is key to your desires, for what you would suggest to yourselves that you want only will get you so far, and desires will get you all the way baby. (Group chuckles) We mean that in every way, for essence is a very essential, sontering, senxual[7] experience that you can find to be a truly satisfying, in every way, way to live your lives.
And we’ll suggest that the weany girl is very present in this conversation, (Jo nods) and she’s nodding her head now that we are, in many ways, influencing her tonight and every night and day in her way of spirit. So you can count on her to be a good one to express that it is a very wonderful way to be. So, your weany girl is a good student, and in this she’ll give you some pointers, but for now, we’ll get back to your intentionality, for intent is key to your desires, as well as your happiness.
Now, we’ll suggest to you that you work on this Oona, because you’ll find that you’ll want to express to yourself your intent name in a very big way, and we’ll assist in spirit. You can trust that we speak with you always. So we’ll say, also, that you have a bit more drama than you’d like, but this is also part of your path to date. So don’t discount the drama, but find ways to apply the drama in ways that you’ll find satisfying.
Now we’ll say more about Oona at another time.
DEBI: Thank you.
ROSE: But for now we’ll suggest that you may want to express your intent name tonight, dear ones. We have our William as a good student in proffering his essence name, as well as intent name. And what more would you like to say about your Rainbow Connections William?
GAIL: Well, I’m realizing it’s not just without meaning in objective reality. It’s also interconnectedness with essences that, you know, have passed or are not in physical focus. And I’m also kind of aware lately, that knowing when Elias speaks of we, or you Rose, speaks of we, I’m realizing that we also hold the intentionality of we even in our objective state. It doesn’t have to be in past and present in our subjective state. And it’s accepting all of those aspects of ourselves as ‘we’ collective, so that’s kind of what I’ve been thinking lately within the Rainbow Connector. It’s not just a subjective place, it’s also objective. They’re actually one and the same, but we divide them, being here in linear time.
ROSE: You’re wonderfully correct. The way of spirit calls you to become we’s. In many respects, you’re wanting to express your totality of Self. You do this in admirable ways when you connect in subtle selves sense.[8] You have a remarkable gift for existing, in many ways, in objective terms in essence. So you do connect objectively in ways that are truly remarkable, William. And in this, you’ll find a great way of spirit when you connect in your way of rainbows, for they are truly wanted by many essences. And in this, you’ll find a great many friends in spirit.
Now when you connect, you also provide imagery to yourself that is translatable to your existence, in many respects. So you do have the ability to channel your essence selves, but you don’t take our word for that. (Jo laughs) And in this, you do contain yourself in ways we’ve discussed, and we can continue, because you have a channeling gift, as you all do. You only need to express to yourself what form it will take. So do take on your Roses’ challenge, to come up with the way you channel.
You have the ability to channel, and in this, we mean that you have the ability to take your inner information and translate it into external imagery, or channel it in words, or in exciting music, or in wanting to beautifully connect with children to tell them what they need to know, or in subjective terms, in surrounding yourself with beautiful things, to provide to others the beauty of the world, or to express to yourself in ways that are subjective, or objective how you’d like to move in the world. And in this, you’ll find your essence is, in many ways, the director of your final days.
And we mean, that you are getting older, you all. (Group chuckles in acknowledgment) You are getting into the harvest time of your lives. So what better thing to do than to turn over your beautiful selves to your way of spirit, and find truly remarkable gifts that you’ve never discovered before. Indeed, what more would you want, besides that?
MARKIE: Nothing.
ROSE: And in this, you’ll find bliss, we will really stress that tonight. Your bliss is your way of spirit. You only need to find that. In times you will do that, but not in ways that are very consistent. You do it today. You just don’t yet have the mark set. You need a way of spirit that will guide you in your days like never before.
We want to say, also, that you’ll find that Rose will really test you in your way of spirit. So continue to be discerning. Don’t let Rose make you feel bad, [or] that you won’t want to continue, for she will get under your skin and test you in big ways. And when you feel that you are getting on your case for something that Rose is pointing out, like you are feeling now – that you’re wanting to get on your path, but maybe you’re not wanting that – don’t worry.
We are not here to tell you what to do with your lives. We are only making suggestions. And when you feel that you are not doing enough, you may find this to be your contrary self speaking up in ways that you’ll find helpful. And in this, your Rose is also a very contrary self, so she’ll push a bit, more than your Elias would. And in this, you’ll find that the contrary Rose will get a bit under your skin, and when she does, this is your way of telling yourself to be discerning, as well as to take her on, because she will test you, indeed.
So don’t worry, we’re nuns. (Jo chuckles) We want the best for you, but we’re not suggesting for a moment, that there’s anything wrong with the way you’re conducting your lives. So take Roses’ words with big grains of salt, and test yourselves as well. For when you feel that you’re not doing enough, maybe that’s true, but there’s no reason to ever beat yourselves up, for what you are or are not.
You’re incredibly gifted individuals. You’ve chosen to become physical for reasons that will find your wanting ways to want to go away forever. You are essence in real life. You are goodness incarnate, so trust that Rose will help you discover the great ways that are awaiting you, but never will make you feel unworthy. So trust that when she incites your fears, that’s just her tweaking you a bit, and you’re expected to call her on this, okay? So do so.
We’ll expect much from you, dear Mathew. (Group chuckles)
So trust that your Rose is only getting the ground rules established now. We’ll look forward to many hours of stimulating repartee between us. So do so, and we’ll continue to realize your way of spirit, for that’s why you came here. That’s why you want to teach yourselves what Rose is doing for you, for we’re only telling you what you want to know. And in this, you’ll find your essences are vehemently agreeing.
So let’s continue with your intent names. Did anyone else discover their intent names [during] these weeks?
Or would you like to offer what you are wanting to suggest is your way of spirit, for the intent names are very similar to your way of spirit. The intent names provide a means to remember why you’re here. So do so. And we’ll suggest that your intent names are also important, because they will align with your intentionality – belonging to’s and aligned with’s.[9] So when you’re ready, we also want to suggest that you provide your way of intentionality.
Do you want to take us on in suggesting to yourselves what they might be?
JOYCE: Mmhm.
ROSE: Okay dear one, what are your belonging to and aligning with families of consciousness?
JOYCE: I wasn’t at the homework class. I think my intent is something that Seth once said and grabbed my imagination, and I think it is to explore universities, and universes, and dimensions of mind and consciousness, and to come back and join heaven and earth, be the interface, and speak of what I see and learn.
I think that that intent is about to be realized now, because I think that the last two years have actually allowed me to gain some confidence and take the training wheels off, and allow myself to go with it. I don’t need the training wheels anymore if I pay attention and keep the focus, and there is always more to learn. But I think I am ready to do some of that. I’m not quite ready, I’m trying to complete some things with [my partner] Gilbert, and he’s driving me crazy. (Groups laughs)
ROSE: Indeed.
JOYCE: I don’t know which direction we’re going, I don’t think he’s made a definitive choice himself.[10] And so I’m living with such great uncertainty, but I’m resolved with this intent, which I didn’t realize I had until this afternoon. I am resolved to move ahead in my own way to my own future in my own chosen path regardless of what he’s doing. I come for a reason as well, and care-taking is one of the things I’ve done, but I’m ready to let it go. (Chuckling)
GAIL: Good for you. (Group chuckles) Yeah, that’s a big one.
JOYCE: Yeah.
ROSE: Exactly.
GAIL: That’s a big one. (Group agrees)
ROSE: We all have a bit of the Borledim in us after all. Don’t we William?[11]
GAIL: Yeah, totally aligning with her (Group agrees) get the feeling here. (Group laughter)
ROSE: Mmhm. You’re correct, that it’s a big order to fill – taking care of another. That’s why Rose suggests you take care of yourselves first, and foremost.
JOYCE: I agree.
ROSE: This is a big rule, in some respects. Rules are… great when you use them for your fulfillment, and when your rules impinge on that, then they’re not good rules. But some rules are very good, and the rule is that you need to, first and foremost, take care of yourselves. You can’t take care of anyone else, if you don’t tend to self first, and in this, you’ve set this aside somewhat. And in this, you’ll find that you’ll discover much unused satisfaction, in your terms, that’s awaiting you. And when you find that satisfaction, you’ll get better. And in this, your Gilbert, in many ways can do for himself.
JOYCE: Mmhm.
ROSE: But you’re finding it difficult to tend to him and you at the same time, so you’re wanting to express to yourself your Borledim intentionality. And in this, you’re correct, that your belonging to is Borledim. Your alignment is Sumari. And in this, your Sumari self is wanting to take on your world in ways you’ve described, and when you find the Borledim self in gear in ways that she’s not, in many respects, you’ll find [your] Sumari self, in many respects, will thrive.
JOYCE: Mmhm.
ROSE: And when you take on your Sumari world, you’ll find that you’ll begin to understand the Borledim self a bit more.
You’re alignment is Sumari, and in this, the Sumari individuals have the same general challenge, and that is that Sumari also are very dependant on others, many times, because Sumari doesn’t let the grass grow under his feet, but only will allow the grass to grow under someone else’s feet. In this, Sumari will find ways to avoid sitting still, and in this, will not take on challenges that it loves so dearly, because its challenge is taking them on.
And Sumari often suggests to itself that the challenges are too big, and they are, but this doesn’t mean not taking them on. And in this, you’ll find that when you settle down into your Borledim self, that you’ll get the Sumari self in every way, motivated. And your Sumari self will take the things on that you need to, but the Borledim self is crying out a bit for your nurturing of self. And in this, you’ll find that your Gilbert is helping you, in many respects, to see that.
JOYCE: Mmhm.
ROSE: We’ll say more at another time if you’d like. But Gilbert is fine, and he’ll continue to be fine in every way. You don’t need to worry at all, and he’ll suggest to you that his Vold ways are wanting to get under your skin (Group chuckles) in a big way.
JOYCE: (Inaudible)
GAIL: Mmhm.
ROSE: So trust that he’ll always do that, even after you’re no longer physical. (Group laughter and chatter)
JOYCE: Oh boy, I don’t know!
ROSE: So don’t think that things will end anytime soon (continued laughter), because you’ll find things won’t change much after you’re no longer physical. So don’t worry, he’ll find other pastures to plough, we promise. We’re incendiary essences aren’t we? But we’ll say more about this later.
But trust that you’ll find when your alignment is engaged, you’ll get feeling better about your challenges currently, okay?
JOYCE: It’s already doing it.
ROSE: Good.
PAUL: Rose, what is Gil’s aligning with and belonging to then, just to flesh that out – you mentioned Vold.
ROSE: Vold aligned, Gramada belonging to.
JOYCE: You’re going to have to explain it to me, or I’ve got to go read it.
ROSE: You’ll find a wonderful website at (Group laughter) eliasforum.org.
GAIL: (Laughing) Very good Rose.
ROSE: You’re very welcome. We are Rose, but we’re always helping, indeed assist.
JOYCE: I love it. (Claps and laughs) That’s good.
PAUL: We’ll explain more during the break.
ROSE: You’re wanting to express to Rose you’re intentionalities, dear ones? Do you know about the intentionalities?
We’ll take a break soon, and your Paul and Jo can assist in your intentional education. So for now we’ll suggest that you take a short break, and we’ll come back in a few moments.

ROSE: Take a few deep breaths to get the way of Rose. We’re you. Reality is us – the helpers in spirit that you love, but don’t always notice. We are here, always with you. No matter what the challenge is, we are here to assist. We want to teach you about yourselves, and in this, sometimes we need a few words to describe your concepts, and we mean your concepts, beautiful ones.
Because you are essence, you have Rose in your lives, because you want your essences to speak with you. So don’t worry, we won’t have too many more concepts to teach, except that you do need to trust us in this, and we’ll suggest that when you’re ready, you’ll get more. And you’ll find them to be very helpful. In this, you’ll discover yourselves, and that’s why you’re here.
And that’s what we do, is teach. Rose is a teaching essence, and we’ll teach you things that you’ll only dream of, for what is your path? Indeed, your path is bliss, and when you discover your way of spirit you’ll find your bliss. We’re only providing a few ways to understand the directionality of your bliss, for you’re all unique individuals.
So why you would choose one path isn’t appropriate. The thing is to discover your unique path, and therefore, discover your unique bliss. You’re all a little different in spite of your similarities, and you’ll discover that you’re wonderfully attenuated for your life in ways that you’re only now discovering. For your entire lives have been built to perfection in allowing your bliss to provide your declining years, (Jo laughs) and we’re only half joking. But, your declining years are the best, because you’ve already built your hills to descend, in wonderful ways, on the other side of.
So trust that your lives have led you to a place that will provide you much satisfaction. So do allow yourselves to interpret your Roses’ words, as suited to your purposes, and trust that you’ll find that your families of consciousness will provide you much insight into your lives, and your intent names also – to provide yourselves a beautiful way to remind yourselves of your truest selves.
And in this, you’ll discover a wondrous way of spirit, for only you can trust that you will discover your intentionality. Only you can do that. We’ll assist, but you are the lords and ladies of your lives, and you’ll find that you’ll do well to discover more about yourselves in ways that you haven’t considered before. And that’s why you’re assuring your Rose is in your lives, to assist you in this, because we are you speaking to you. So do so.
And we’ll suggest, that the next time we meet, that you have your intent names, and your belonging to and aligned with families of consciousness under your belts, for that, in many ways, is there for you to discover. And when you do we suggest we’ll assist you in discovering your desires next, for your desires are what make your world a beautiful place, and when you do what you desire, you discover whole realms of happiness in you. So do so.
And you’ll discover more ways to question Rose, and you’ll discover more ways to find (pause) intentional ways of spirit, as you do want to get on your paths in a big way. And you’ll find that we’ll assist in every way. So do so, and we’ll allow questions now, if you’d like.![]()
DREW: I’ve a question. Isn’t it true to say that most people are happiest, and therefore most in alignment with their intent, when they’re miserable?
ROSE: That’s an excellent question Matthew, and we’ll say that you’re correct – that the way of spirit isn’t always happy. And in this, you’ll discover that you’re very sincere attempts at happiness are, in some ways, the point. You’re sincere attempts are what makes you human, and in this, you sometimes succeed in getting happy. And in this, you’ll discover, in your terms, a means to get happier when you do allow your greater sense of your way of spirit.
Now we’re not suggesting you’ve never been on your way of spirit, you have, but in many ways you don’t also. When you trust in your wants, when you trust in your ego, these aren’t bad things; in essence they are what make you human. But your ego – your wants – are only so deep and when you tire of these, you want more, and when you want more, you turn to essence to assist. That’s why you seek out your Elias, your Rose, your Seth to assist you, because you know there’s more than your wants and your ego.
They are, again, not bad things, but they’re a short path, because you’ll only find so many things go with them, and your way is wanting you to find it. Your happiness is there when you follow it. So that’s why you’re wanting the expression you suggest in your question – to suggest that happiness isn’t always the way of spirit. It is, but you’ll find a different, perhaps larger, definition of happiness than what you’ve attenuated for yourself already.
DREW: Do people enter physical reality with the intent of experiencing a difficult and painful life?
ROSE: Sometimes, yes. (Gail laughs)
DREW: So that sometimes when we’re most in alignment with our intent we will experience a lifetime of pain?
ROSE: You are, but the reason for suffering is to end it. You can’t know suffering if you don’t experience the suffering you have in your lives, and in this, you find that suffering is only a very short path as well, because suffering in and of itself isn’t the thing.
The thing is happiness, in your terms. That would be described as the ability to perceive in ways that you don’t when you suffer. So you’ll discover that in your suffering you’ll find ways to not suffer then find ways to find bliss. So suffering is appropriate, in many ways, it’s not what we’d call your way of spirit, but this doesn’t mean that you’re not on your way of spirit when you suffer.
GAIL: Is it like a catalyst to move you into an awareness to create a different experience?
ROSE: That is a somewhat close definition, but the catalyst is your ability to conceive the situation then change it.
JOYCE: I only have found recently in my own learning that pain is physical – it is of the body. But I’ve also learned that, at least for me in the now, the suffering is more mental, more mind. And it happens more when I fight with the circumstances I’m in, which keeps me back, like in quicksand. But when I stop fighting, and I accept, and surrender, and let be then I’m not having trouble, and then I can move forward and let go of the suffering, and I can begin to move forward into where I want to go.
ROSE: You’re correct that suffering is a continual transaction that is best regarded as fear of what is going on. Your suffering can be alleviated when you resort to finding essence. In many ways, suffering is your resorting to essence to relieve your pain when you allow this to occur. You have essence always assisting you, and in this, you’ll find peace as well as contentment in suffering, in some respects. Your suffering is, in many ways, your fear of what is happening, and your fear is what causes you pain.
Now when animals suffer, they don’t really allow themselves to fear. They use fear to get them to another place. They say, “Well, the very providing of ‘fear wolves’ are surrounding our den, so we must use our fear to provoke us to move.” Then they move. They take action.
When you fear, you fear then you find ways to fear more. You say, “Well, there is a wolf at the door, so we’ll just stay here, because it’s tough all over. We will rationalize our fear, so as to not take action.” So you fear then you don’t take action. Then you fear more. Then you take all kinds of anti-anxiety medication to fear less, but if you took action when you feared, you’d not fear anymore, because that’s what fear is for – to move you into areas that you didn’t perhaps know about before.
But your fear is a good provoker of the movement you want to take. So you create “wolves” to allow you to fear what you need to, to move. When animals suffer they are, in many ways, beyond the action that fear would have them undertake. So they want to suffer only in the respect of allowing themselves to take on essence to relieve their suffering. Essence does step in to help animals. They want to beautifully allow essence to take over, because they know they are essence.
You don’t fully realize how much essence wants to assist, always, in relieving your suffering. So don’t worry, ever, about suffering. This can be allowed in ways that you’ll find relieving of your fear. They want to help. Essences always relieve your suffering. So let them. Turn yourself over to essence to assist. Tell them, “Look, I’m suffering here. Try to help me, please?” And you will find that you’ll allow more than you didn’t before, because your realization of prayer is a good one to consider.
Prayer is your way of talking with essence – asking for things, allowing answers certainly – but also in providing ways to assure yourself that you have your intentions correct. This helps you content yourself with providing some direction for your desires. Prayer assists in ways that you’ll find interesting. Prayer does get itself answered, and in this, you’ll find this very old-fashioned way of suggesting to yourself that you are only providing yourselves a desire to assist, not just yourselves, but the world, is a very beautiful thing – a beautiful expression of your beautiful selves. So trust that we do listen to realizations of every kind of prayer – the ones you have on your knees, the ones you have in your minds. We essences hear all prayers, and we do answer them, you only need to listen.
So trust that when you suffer, we know, and you’ll do well to realize that we want to assist, always. Just trust that we will. Surrender is a good word to use, because your ego wants to assure itself that it’s always in control, but it’s not, essence is. And you are essence, so your ego is a very important part of essence. Don’t feel that your ego is in any way wrong, it’s not. It just knows what it knows.
Your essence selves want to inform your ego, so allow your ego to get the full benefit of your creaturehood. Like Rumi [the cat] here allows essence to step in, and help him sleep, and he dreams big essence dreams. And when you dream, ensure you know that we are there always in spirit for you – in your dreams as well as in your waking life. We are here only to serve you, only to serve you, not the other way around, for while essence does call to you to do certain things that we know will make you happy, we are here to assist you in your happiness. In your suffering you’ll find your greatest joys. We’re here to point those out to you, always. So do so.
Now, do you have any other questions, dear Matthew?
DREW: Well, let me just summarize to see if I understand this. In a nutshell, we have physical manifestation for the purpose of experience. Is that right? Basically, that’s why we’re here?
ROSE: That’s correct.
DREW: And so, when we decide to manifest in particular focus, do we ever manifest with the intent of an unhappy life for the experience? And if so, wouldn’t then any attempt to be “happy” be in contradiction to what our intent is?
ROSE: You’re only suggesting that happiness is suffering, and this isn’t true.
DREW: I’m sorry, could you say that again?
ROSE: Happiness isn’t suffering.
DREW: For anybody?
ROSE: For anybody.
DREW: There is no focus with the intent of experiencing unhappiness, for the purpose of that experience in that lifetime?
ROSE: There is purpose to unhappiness, but not to live a fully unhappy life, no. Now, we will say that some lives are unhappy, and these aren’t wrong, but your purpose isn’t to live an unhappy life, because you know too much to do that. Don’t you now?
DREW: Are you speaking about me personally? You’re saying that there’s nobody who has the intent of a life that is essentially unhappy?
ROSE: You’re correct that some individuals do live unhappy lives, but there’s never any reason to only experience unhappiness. There’s no reason to experience only unhappiness. You know better than to suffer. Individuals who don’t know better sometimes suffer, but there [are] reasons to translate suffering ways that are healthy, and this is why you create suffering. To translate it in ways that help you be happy. You could say that you would do better to be happy than to suffer, because being happy is the point. Being happy is the reason you’re alive – not to suffer, but this is a part of life. And this is tricky to explain, but you’ll find that your suffering isn’t necessary if you know what to do with it.
Trust that your Roses will say more about this, but for now we’ll say these are very good questions Matthew, and we’ll allow your questions to continue, because you do need to know about these trickier aspects of reality. It’s not a black and white question. It’s a very subtle question that needs further development, and we’ll do that. We’ll say that the desires you have are always wanting you to fully appreciate them. So your desires want you to experience them, so you can be fulfilled. Suffering isn’t fulfillment, in some ways, in other ways it is, but no one is supposedly on a course for only unhappiness. (Drew Sneezes)
PAUL: Bless you!
ROSE: If this answers your question.
DREW: Yes, with further discussion in the future.
PAUL: Can I just comment on that too. You know, the nature of suffering is individual. We all will define it based on our intent and unique tone, and approach. The same thing with joy and bliss – it’ll be different for each of us, too, in a sort of classic duality of joy and suffering. Seth introduced the concept of value fulfillment, and it’s something that I think is somewhat misunderstood out there in our community, in general, too – meaning that we’re only experiencing value fulfillment if we’re happy all the time. And when we’re suffering, that’s less value fulfilling, and I think what Drew is driving at is that there is value fulfillment in suffering.
DREW: And isn’t that the intent, for some people, that their value fulfillment…?
PAUL: …and it may be.
DREW: That’s why I’m asking.
PAUL: I can’t answer that, you know.
DREW: That’s why I didn’t ask you. (Group laughter)
PAUL: It’s not for me to answer, but I’d like to hear Rose comment about that, in the context of this bliss and suffering duality, and the choices that billions of people make, you know, to add the notion of value fulfillment. That is sort of how Seth and Elias have detailed that quite a bit, explain that duality. So much so, that when Elias claims when our value fulfillment ceases, we die, we check out, the lifetime ends. So some people can put up with tremendous disability, and chronic pain, and they still live. And so they’re experiencing value fulfillment. So isn’t that sort of the unifying concept of the duality of suffering and bliss?[12]
ROSE: You’re correct that it is, somewhat. The point of life is value fulfillment, but there’s no reason to believe that it’s only happiness. The way we define value fulfillment is as a very good way to describe all of creation, and this means both the good and the bad, so to speak. So value fulfillment is a very broad term that isn’t really helpful, in many regards. We’ll say value fulfilling is what we’d like to concentrate on.
How do you fulfill your value in your world? Is it just being yourself? Is it being who you are in your private world? Is it being in your world as an individual who provides a service? We think these are all valid ways to describe your value fulfilling.
How do you perceive yourselves? Do you only want to live in your own rooms? Do you only want to live in your own beds? Do you only want the best for yourselves, to take home with you, only to achieve on your own? Do you want to make your world a better place, not only by yourself, but with your friends, your families, your tribes, your beautiful creations in spirit?
What you have determined so far is your own very selfish way, but this isn’t a bad thing. Selfishness is basically a good thing. The point is that when you define happiness, you often define it according to you only, and not the world you live in. In this, you describe yourselves most finely, not in the ways you are, in your terms as essence, because you are great. So why you would choose to define happiness only in your terms, by yourself, is why you want to take on your Roses perhaps, because you’re not exactly being in your world when you define your happiness only in your terms, for you are the world. Aren’t you? So when you suffer, you suffer in a big way, don’t you? You do, but you don’t allow yourself to embrace this always, dear one.
You don’t only allow your own desires, but the desires of the world when you’re truly wanting your own happiness. So we suggest you turn on your TVs and see yourselves – you are that. You are the world you live in, and you suffer in ways that you are only beginning to realize. So don’t worry, we’ll not make you suffer anymore than you do already. You don’t need to. We’re only suggesting that you are the world, and being in that frame of mind may help you realize your happiness in the world, that is. So do so, and we’ll realize your questions when you come back.
When you realize that you’re the world, you know more, you see more, you express more, you are more. So don’t take on the challenges unless you’re ready to, but we’ll suggest you may do that in time. So we’ll assist in this. You can trust us to do that. So do so. Take on your world when you’re ready. We hope to make you ready, indeed, to do that.
We’ll suggest one more question then we’ll want to eat your delicious dinner this evening.
SHIREEN: I have a question. I would like to just actually touch on a few things, but if we cover some now, great, whatever works. Just a quick insight into suffering, and I’ll just put it all out there, then you can respond however you feel comfortable.
I believe that suffering is a choice, and human beings don’t like to hear that, because of the ego, but I think that it serves an important purpose for identifying with certain life paths, and things of that nature to help us to better serve humanity and the planet, in general. And I’d like for Rose to share a bit more, if she has anything to comment on that. And also, I’d like to hear more from Rose about my essence and intent names, and the aligning with and belonging to, for me.
BORIS: (Whispering) For me too!
SHIREEN: And I see Boris over there asking his, because he likes me – I guess I have… (Group laughs)
ROSE: Very well, yes.
PAUL: He’s being shy.
ROSE: In many lifetimes, indeed, as well.
SHIREEN: It feels like it. (More laughter)
And finally, I would like to follow up something that was brought up last time, regarding terrorism and terrorists.[13] I would like to know how Rose defines what is a terrorist, and what did she bring up last time? What was that all about? Because I really didn’t understand, so those are my areas of inquiry.
ROSE: That’s quite a lot (Group laughter, chatter) we’ll try to discuss summarily…
SHIREEN: And building on what the discussion…
ROSE: Very well. That was a very good insight into suffering, and we’ll say that you’re correct, that suffering is its own challenge. And you’re correct that suffering isn’t needed, only to show what your true selves are all about in assisting in your world, in allowing your compassionate selves to flourish. So we’ll say more at another time. This is a very big subject…
SHIREEN: Mmhm.
ROSE: …but you’re a gold-star winner. We’ll award you a gold star for that answer. (Group chuckles) We do award a gold stars from time to time.
SHIREEN: Alright! Thank you.
ROSE: The way of spirit is for you to show yourselves that you’re wanting your suffering to end in a very personal way, as well. So you’re suffering is unique to you, as well, not just the suffering of the world, although that’s a very big part of you. So your intentionality does tie into this sort of personal suffering. Your intentionalities are, in many ways, showing you the way you do suffer. In many ways your belonging to is not the way you suffer.
Your belonging to is Sumari, Boris. (Gail chuckles)
Your belonging to is Ilda-Tumold Shireen, or Tumilda, as we will say – it’s a combination of Tumold and Ilda.
Your belonging to is your natural way of being in your world. You won’t find many ways to get discouraged. By doing this you’ll find the challenges in your aligned with. You’re wanting your aligned with is a good thing because that is what you need to first provide yourselves.
(To Shireen) So your aligned with is Sumafi, and Boris’ is Tumold. That is often the challenge you have – challenges meaning you need to realize this only first for yourselves before sharing in the world. That’s all.
Your Sumari individuals tend, for example, to not settle on one artistic endeavor. They tend to go around and around not knowing what to do first. Then they get discouraged, so Sumari individuals need to settle on something and finish it.
Your Sumafi tend to over-analyze things. (Group chuckling) These are very broad suggestions.
The Tumold heal themselves first before they can heal others.
The Sumari also need to tend to artistic expressions that they enjoy, first and foremost.
The Tumold heal themselves first, then learn to heal others – intuiting their ways first, then expressing them second. Then the many other individuals will find that by realizing homework, and looking at your eliasforum.org website you’ll discover more about your families of consciousness. But we’ll provide them if needed. So do so.
Then we’ll suggest you’ll get a big surge in your way of spirit, for when you discover that you need to realize for yourselves first – what you need to provide in the world – you’ll find yourselves satisfied in very big ways. So do so.
Then we’ll also suggest to you, dear one, that you’ll discover only your best selves, and in this, your way of wanting to provide spirit guides is a way of getting your best selves. Trust you have them. Talk to them. Pray to them when you get upset [and want] assistance – anything that requires your loving selves to assist not just yourselves, but your way of spirit in your world.
The essences will always, always assist. So do so. Then discover that you’ll be your best essence self, for as we began the session we were reminding you that you are essence, as well. So trust that you will find a great way of spirit by only suggesting first that you are as wide as we are – Rose that is. So do so, and we’ll assist. That’s what we’re here for.
Now we’ll only say one more thing; that you’re correct that the way of salvation isn’t in suffering. The suffering you get, in some respects, is only a deep sense of conflict. In your religious terms, the suffering self has been venerated by your religious doctrines. There’s no need to suffer, ever. But, this doesn’t mean it’s not purposeful. So we’ll say more about that at a later time.
And we’ll say goodnight for now.
