“2008: The Wondrous Year of Trust and Allowance”

“Resting-in-Rose & Sontering”

Session 215 (Private) – Excerpt

Monday, December 31, 2007

Participants: Joanne (Tyl), Paul (Caroll), and Gordon (Gilbert).

(Paul’s note: This session took place New Year’s Eve. We had our neighbor Gordon over for dinner, and then settled down for a short Rose session. Some personal material has been deleted.)

(Rose Arrives: 7:30 PM. Arrival time 20 seconds.)

ROSE: (Pace is quick) The way of spirit calls to each one of you, in every way. To allow the way of spirit into your lives only means trust and allowance. We will call the year 2008 the Wondrous Year of Trust and Allowance. So we will get the scoop, in your terms, on the pronouncements of your “dead guys.”

We will call this the year of trust, as well as allowance, because we want to tell you more about yourselves, as well as find ways to find you in spirit. In this, the trust and allowance you have for yourselves will be the wonderful finding of essence.

So trust the way we will define trust will be the wonderful key to allowance as well. Both are very needed, in your terms, in your lives. So trust that we will realize very many wonderful things together this year when you find the way to trust us to call the shots sometimes.

The ego doesn’t call the shots – the essence self does call the shots – but only in terms of wanting your expressions of happiness, as well as finding your ways of fully embracing your lives. In this, you don’t need to be allowing enjoyment in any way but the way you have in your lives, really. Only in some respects, you need to realize more. In some respects.

You can, therefore, continue doing what you’re doing, but when you open in ways that we’ll suggest, you’ll get more from your days, as well as your nights, in your terms, because you’ll dream in ways that you haven’t yet, because you’re not taking on what we suggest you do. For your ways are the same, in some ways, as they will be once you trust and allow, but in other ways not so much, because you have the tendency to fall back on the behaviors that you’ll find not exactly trusting.

So we’ll be fine-tuning your lives, not necessarily moving them sideways. Only you can determine the course of your lives. We will not, but we will realize, in some respects, more successful means to enjoy the lives you have. So don’t expect to be pleading for ways to allow the differences to incorporate this year. Look to finding ways to continue, in most blissful ways, the ways you’re already pursuing in your lives.

We’ll enhance your lives this year, not necessarily change them much. So trust that you’ll do well to continue doing what you’re doing, because you do allow a great many wonderful things – continue this, don’t change that. We will only make suggestions to allow you greater trust, as well as allowance, for what you have in store for yourselves is what you have, but you don’t need to disallow anything, and this will provide some clues regarding what you can trust to open, in some respects, in your New Year.

(To Gordon) How’s that, dear one? Dear Gilbert, we will say, also, that we won’t make crystal ball predictions so much, but we will give you some clues to allow yourselves to tune into your own probabilities to assess how you’d like to move forward in the New Year. Okay?

(To Joanne) So, we will begin with your dictation, because your dictation every day is key to the things you want to occur this year – next year that is. The year we’ll say is always this year, but we are always (slowly, with emphasis) pronouncedly inviolate in regard to time. So, this is always the current year for us, indeed.

You can expect that you’ll do well to begin to dictate The Way of Spirit for Children this year, weany girl.[1] You want to finish your books, so we’ll allow the books to continue at your own pace. You’re doing a fabulous job. Don’t worry, we’re not rushing you. We’re only suggesting you’ll want to continue in ways that will find satisfaction for you, as you want to complete these. So continue with your dictations.

We will also suggest you find us to assist with your website – we have some suggestions. We think you’re doing a fabulous job, so continue to assault the software the way you tend to do, Caroll. You have a knack for the apparently rigged software that you continue to improve upon. So continue to do so. We will assist when you need us as well. You don’t trust yourself to begin coding yet, so don’t yet until you truly find the software will work, because you aren’t finding all the bugs yet.

We’ll suggest this is indeed a test for you, because you’ll want to trust that as well. You have a tendency to find some things wrong, but you don’t need to fear that this will occur with your new software. You’re worried a bit more than you need to be – don’t be. You’ll find a way to make the things work, so trust that.[2]

Trust is a big word. To find trust is a great thing, because trust works in ways that will find trust again and again happening when you do trust, as well as allowance. This comes to you when you trust that things, indeed, truly do work out when you need them to.

The way you can think of allowance is as the fine-tuning of trust. When you trust things will work out, you allow them to, but not in ways that you will expect always. You want to allow things only when you find comfort in realizing specific ways – don’t. We suggest that allowance is the way to acknowledge that some things happen that you can never predict.

So find ways to trust, then allow the things only to occur that will occur. In this, the things are truly out of your hands regarding the ego-sense of the word, as well as will be dictated – there’s that word again – by essence. You don’t control the shots, essence does. You need to figure out how to assuage those wonderful egos of yours to find ways to encourage the sense of fun, as well as excitement, for your lives.

When you can’t realize the way of finding only what you will expect, that’s where the fun happens. So find your fun, because you need that in your days, as well as your nights. You can open up to things that are normally not exciting, as well as fun, that will be in every moment when you do allow your allowance. So do so.

We’ll say, as well, that you do find ways to excite yourselves tonight – the way you discuss Gordon’s home, the way you discussed traveling together. We suggest these are things that you can trust would be excellent things to do in your New Year. So trust that when you figure out what you want to do, that it will be wonderful. Then allow the wondrousness to occur. We will always be assisting in spirit.

So find the path of Self to be fraught with mostly fun – some troubles always – but don’t focus on these. Trust that things will, indeed, work out to your benefit, any way that occurs. So trust that we will always assist as well.

…The Seasons books[3] would do better next year [2009], because weany girl won’t have the time to get them ready this year – she knows this already. So we’ll suggest you postpone the seasons until next year.

We are testing you somewhat, because we will not be calling the shots, but weany girl has overtly suggested to herself that this won’t happen this year. We think this is wise, because she will have the books, the website, the workshops if you’d…

PAUL: Yes, that’s a lot to get done just in the next four quarters.

ROSE: …like that. To continue to find things to do will be too much for her. The workload she has is now large. And we’ll say that it’s true that you’re getting older. You need to slow down. Not! (Joanne chuckles) We will say that we’re testing you to some degree…

PAUL: (Humorously) Speak for yourself, I’m not getting any older!

ROSE: …but the workload is getting higher with your Rose, not smaller.

So trust that you’ll do well to rest, because this is the heart of sometimes grueling work. You can take a lot on, but you do need to take your breaks. As we were saying to Gilbert, the breaks can include the things you do that allow your spirit to find truly interesting experience – like finding your beautiful home, your meals, as well as your fun. But also, resting is very important as well. So getting your rest is important.

So we’ll also respond to weany girl’s question about why she is getting so much rest these days.[4] You’re tired of finding the way of fealing[5], in some respects. You’re wanting rest because the way you’re realizing Rose is emotionally challenging. The rest helps you connect with your health in ways that allow the changes to occur in your lives. So trust that your rest is good – you don’t need to worry that you’re not doing enough, you’re doing fine.

So find your rest when you can. The way you can think of rest is as meditation, (whispering) that’s correct, because you do allow meditation when you rest. So, like Gilbert does in the car, this combined meditation, as well as rest – indeed, even sleep at times – is excellent, because it combines the three very important things you need together. They don’t need to be separated.

You can geaniusly[6] include both meditation, as well as dreams, in ways that will beautifully allow you insights into your lives. So when you drift off, as well as sleep, you can continue to truly meditate into things that you will find attractive, to say the least.

In other words, you’ll meditate in ways that will pull you into your dream space, then you can remember to get out, then recall your dreams. This is the waking dream state that we’ve been training weany girl on.[7]

So when you drift off, you’re really meditating deeply, and reminding yourselves of what you dreamed is the point. The way you pull out what you need is a good practice – a good realization of spiritual meditation that will best be done, sometimes, when you are sleepy.

So don’t worry if you sleep when you meditate, because this is just another state that you will find similar to meditation. But the way you can think of this is, in some ways, like the waking dream state, only you’re deeper. Then you trust that you can get the images, as well as impressions, from your sleep state that you need to. This is a good practice – do continue this so as to find ways to trustily get the meditation, as well as sleep, that you need, indeed.

Now, we will address the questions about the way of finding the rest you need as well, because you will find that the rest is important. The way you’re finding rest is the best thing you can do. To get the dream state is the next best thing to resting-in-Rose.[8] The samadhi Source Energy that you get from this is the way you can find to meditate in your dream space as well. So continue that when you can.

The way you’ll find this to be beneficial is the point. The way of spirit is about resting-in-Rose, as well as dreaming, but the resting is paramount to your practices, because it will benefit your waking lives, indeed. So continue the samadhi – resting-in-Rose, they’re the same thing – to get the full benefit from your dreams, as well as your waking lives, indeed.

Sontering[9] is another breath practice that will realize the essence self, in your terms. Breathing in your greater self is what the sontering does. So continue this as well, because you’ll need this to beautifully chreate your lives in ways that align with your ways of spirit.

…Now, we’ll cut short a bit, because the weany girl is tired.

PAUL: We’re all a little tired.

ROSE: So we’ll say, “Adieu” for the evening, as well as “Happy New Year!” 2008 will be a very good year, indeed! We trust you will trust, as well as allow, wonderful things into your lives now more than ever. We trust you will. We love you. Rose.

PAUL: Amen. Thank you, Rose.

GORDON: Thank you.

ROSE: You’re welcome.

(Rose departs: 8:23 PM.)

Endnotes

[1] Paul’s note: This is Roses’ affectionate name for Joanne as she weans herself of old habits, limiting beliefs, and fears. For more information, see The Rose Glossary.

[2] Paul’s note: Rose referred to the fact that we just purchased a new authoring system for our Rose website that is still in beta testing. But it’s from the company that we used for our NewWorldView forums (Telligent), and it shows a lot of promise since it’s loaded with new web 2.0 features (blogs, database back end, style sheets, etc.). So I just need to take my time before jumping in and committing to use it for the website.

[3] Joanne’s note: For the past few years, I’ve been writing the book, Seasons of the Soul, which is a celebration of the eight seasons of the year (four solar and four cross-quarter events).

[4] Joanne’s note: I had been getting a lot of sleep and wondered if it had to do with the changes I’ve been through with engaging Rose.

[5] Paul’s note: This is one of Rose’s neologisms (made-up words), a combination of feel and real. For more info, see The Rose Glossary.

[6] Paul’s note: This is one of Rose’s neologisms (made-up words), a combination of genes and genius. For more info, see The Rose Glossary.

[7] Paul’s note: Rose began state-training Joanne in the first month to recognize three main states, each successively inward-focused: 1. waking, 2. resting-in-Rose, and 3. waking dream. We sometimes refer to them as Rose I, Rose II, and Rose III. At this stage of the phenomenon, Rose II is the most common state, although Joanne dips into Rose I and Rose III at times. We don’t have any empirical evidence to support this yet, though Rose has trained us to rely on our intuition and subjective experience to verify which state Joanne’s accessing during a session. However, we hope to do some empirical studies down the road on Joanne’s states.

[8] Paul’s note: This is a form of meditation taught by Rose. Joanne uses it to get “into state” before a session. Rose describes it in the following way:

“Resting-in-Rose is the same as resting-in-your-essence. We call it Rose because you’ll find this to be helpful, in some ways. You can think of your essence, in some respects, as a beautiful, smelly flower that lovingly envelops you in her beautiful petals. So resting-in-Rose is a more provocative way to say resting-in-[your essence name here]. Indeed, resting-in-Rose is also the same as samadhi in your Buddhist realizations of resting-in-Rose, so they had the same practices that you do when you go to sleep. When you are going to sleep, you are finding a beautiful fealing without your thoughts. So when you rest-in-Rose, you can try to emulate the prior-to-sleep state that you do when you fall asleep, then trust that you can emulate this state….” ~ Session 202, December 08, 2007

For more info, see Resting-in-Rose.

[9] Paul’s note: This is one of Rose’s neologisms (made-up words). Sontering is “the breathing in of essence,” and involves a kind of empathic mergence with the object of sontering. For more info, see The Rose Glossary.
